When I was looking for a builder for my kitchen extension I talked to half a dozen people. Of these Darek was the only one I felt instinctively I could trust. All of the others I felt were setting me up for future work/problems ("well this is going to be a problem, luv"; "we'll have to charge extra if the foundations need to be deeper"; "you're going to need an RCB there... " etc etc). Darek just took all of this in his stride, and when he and his team did encounter problems, they just worked through it and did not come back and try to renegotiate. Darek and his team have an amazing work ethic, and my next door neighbour, who had done the same extension a couple of years previously, commented that I "had got some good ones" as his always disappeared at 3pm while Darek and team worked steadily through from 8am to 5pm (or later when necessary) without fail. Whilst living in a small terrace house while the back of your house is knocked down is always going to be traumatic, I was grateful pretty much every day that I had chosen Darek and his team as they treated my house and possessions in a very respectful way, they were extremely clean and tidy and conscious of my security etc and did a great job. The quality of the finish is superb and I love the space that I now have. If I ever do another building project Darek will be the only person I call and I can recommend him without hesitation for his integrity, his conscientiousness and for the very high quality of his work.
